Torchlight: Netherlands: Dutch Prime Minister Claims Geert Wilders Ruins Atmosphere

THE HAGUE, 23/02/08 - Tensions in Dutch society are increasing. This is because Muslims and Antilleans are discussed in unbalanced and overly harsh terms, according to Premier Jan Peter Balkenende.

The premier says in an interview with De Volkskrant that the Social and Cultural Planning Bureau (SCP) concluded last year that the Netherlands had its good humour back again. "And now, in the recent period - and that is due to the tone of the debate - the matter appears to be sharpening up rather again" says Balkenende.

The Christian democratic (CDA) premier blames the change in the atmosphere that he sees on the debating technique of the Party for Freedom (PVV) and "the discussion around a certain film." By this he evidently means the 15-minute film about the Koran that PVV leader Geert Wilders wants to broadcast in March. "Concern exists abroad. In the Netherlands as well."

In the pre-publication of the interview released by De Volkskrant Friday - the interview appears 23/02/08 - the premier also criticises PVV MP Hero Brinkman's suggestion of selling the Netherlands Antilles to the highest bidder. This remark is "disrespectful and unwise," he considers. "You can be sharp, but freedom of speech carries responsibility."

Balkenende warns of the risks when mistrust creeps into a community. "This type of society performs worse. In the Netherlands, we face the question: Do we remain a high-trust society?"

The premier looked back with satisfaction on the first year of his fourth cabinet. "With the exception of dismissal law, we have got through all the difficult dossiers. Perhaps not always con amore. But the result counts." His three previous cabinets fell prematurely.

His cabinets aren't the only thing which fell short, apparently his intellect and grip on Dutch society has as well. So let me get this straight, it is Geert Wilders who has ruined the atmosphere in the Netherlands. This is such an outrageous claim that I can't seem to stop myself from spitting tea all over the computer screen in fits of laughter. Yes Mr. Balkenende, it is Geert Wilders who has turned the Netherlands into a third world hellhole. It is Mr. Wilders who rapes, murders, and stones little Dutch Children on Lantern Parades. It is Mr. Wilders who has turned massive areas of urban centers into Islamic no-go zones where even police dont dare to enter. It is Mr. Wilders who has created a state where ethnic citizens are forced to work and pay high taxes to support parasite Morrocans who do nothing but disrupt decent society. Most of all, it is Mr. Wilders who has plagued European society with monsters and it is he alone who has influenced them to kill in the name of G-d.

Grow up Mr. Balkenende, the only thing Mr. Wilders ruins, is your pathetic theories about multiculturalism. Mr. Wilders has done nothing more than rain on your utopian parade by pointing out the truth. You, Mr. Balkenende are the real criminal here. You are the one who is responsible for ruining the Netherlands, raping its culture and dragging its ethnic population down into the mud. It is you and your associates who won't even protect little children from the monsters you let in and support on other peoples taxes. It is you who have ruined the atmosphere in Dutch society. When the people can no longer tolerate your fanatic dreams of a multicultural utopia, it is you who will be held responsible.
