This story comes to us from Spiegel;
The latest rash of attacks coincides with the so-called "action weeks" organized by the radical left-wing. Propelled by anger against "acute gentrification" and the disappearance of open spaces, activists are staging a fortnight of mayhem, which kicked off on June 6. The string of events is to culminate on Saturday with a mass squatting of the now-out-of-use runways of the central Tempelhof airport, a massive stretch of land equivalent to 525 football fields. Enraged by official plans to use part of the area for luxury apartments, organizers plan to break in to the site, crossing the massive fences which line its perimeter.
In a blog, the Squat Tempelhof campaign says they want community a say in the usage of the large space. They expect numerous protesters from all walks of life, including locals, families, punks, international activists and dog owners. Up to a thousand police are to be sent to the site.
Amid the rancor, Berlin's left-wing mayor Klaus Wowereit is finding himself in a tight spot. Opposition politicians are accusing him, and other left-wing and green party politicians, of inaction verging on tacit compliance with the law breakers. The Secretary General of the CDU party in Berlin, Frank Henkel, spoke of a "state's capitulation to red terror." In an interview with SPIEGEL ONLINE he said: "The radical left is testing out the boundaries while the Senate passively looks on." The Berlin Senate is the city-state's executive body -- essentially a city council.
Similarly, the Berlin head of the business-friendly Free Democrats, Christoph Meyer, told SPIEGEL ONLINE: "One part of the Senate gives the left-wing extremists the feeling that they can do what they want."
But while there is rising pressure to counter the violence, the police face major hurdles. "The fact that fires can be started within seconds, means it is very difficult to catch the perpetrators," Berlin Interior Minister Ehrhart Körting told the Tagesspiegel, a Berlin daily. Meanwhile, the police complain that cost cutting since 2002 has left them sorely lacking in personnel. "We can hardly keep up with the usual surveillance and controls -- criminals have a low risk of being caught," said Klaus Eisenreich, who manages Berlin's police union, in an interview with SPIEGEL ONLINE.
Ahead of the planned Tempelhof protest, political sparks are flying. Conservative and liberal politicians complain that some politicians have not distanced themselves enough from the leftist militants. Head of the Berlin Greens, Franziska Eichstädt-Bohlig, is among those in the thick of the controversy. She told the newspaper Die Tageszeitung that entering the defunct airport is not a violation of the law, but rather an act of political expression.
Meanwhile, Berlin's far-left Left Party has also been criticized for its proximity to the protesters. Although the party officially distanced itself from the planned protests, the Left Party politician Evrim Baba sent a positive message on what she dubbed as a "legitimate" protest. "I support the move against luxury flats and the elimination out of social housing on the grounds of Tempelhof airport," she said.
As the political crossfire continues, so does the run of car torchings. In the absence of more helpful advice, the police have come up with a simple recipe for owners of showy cars: Park them in safer parts of town.
This only proves my point about the involvement of most of the "mainstream" politicians in Marxist criminal activities. Criminals such as Klaus Wowereit, Evrim Baba, and Franziska Eichstädt-Bohlig are either pining for votes or devout followers of the true faith. At any rate they are seditious enemies to the German people and ought to be dealt with in the fashion that one should deal with traitors. There will come a day when all scores will be thoroughly settled and all accounts paid in full. These animals will eventually have no place to hide. The more they push for the destruction of the nation, the more they push for the Marxist state and the destruction of the ethnic German culture, the more we will sharpen our knives for the inevitable day of reckoning to come. I am one hundred percent confident that the German people have no interest in turning the country over to punks, homosexuals, Marxists, Turks, and all other forms of unemployed parasites on the federal dole. There should be no question about the horse to back in this race. Even the Marxist of days gone by was a more formidable and worthy opponent. There was time when he was actually willing to take up the shovel and work fervently for the state. Today's socialist is a lazy, morally devoid parasite too lazy to get out of bed in the morning. What these animals fight for today is the right to sit around and draw free benefit payments. The German people, the European people, should know better than to get behind such a suicidal and degenerate collection of loafers.
Meanwhile we should all revel in the fact that these politicians are undecided in the question of whether or not to enforce the rule of law. This will only drive the people further into our embrace. With our principles, morals, and steadfast patriotism, we will present the only answer to the questions about the future of this great state and many like it across the European continent. The Marxist, devoid of principles, other than the selfish desire to rule, will continue to flounder his way into oblivion. He, himself, will pave the road to our inevitable success. His failure to create a proud and strong future for the European people, along with his alliance to the evils of islam and other seemingly voter compliant groups, will prove to be his undoing. In the end, the Marxist will have done much of the work for us.
The question now is how hard we must work to mobilize and capitalize on the blunders of his inferior ideological strategies. I am, I admit, of the mind that a few street victories would not do us any harm. Let us not forget that we are dealing with the most apathetic, soft, selfish, and cowardly parasites the nation has to offer. They love to claim titles like "worker" and "revolutionary" yet they can't seem to face the struggle to get out of bed in the morning and face a day's work. The texture of such swine, the sort who can hardly face the sting of an alarm clock, let alone clubs and knuckle dusters in the hands of real and determined men, is rather close to that of fresh and warm shite in a hay field. We can safely surmise that there is nothing to fear from a full frontal confrontation with such wretched scum. Like an avalanche, smaller skirmishes resulting in victories will lead to many and larger victories. This enemy we face is at is very core, cowardly and full of fear. We must set upon and exploit that fear in order to drive out and ultimately crush these creatures before any real progress can be made in the restoration of our nations. Have courage my friends, there is no greater cause than to strive for the advancement and greatness of ones nation.
