Torchlight: Beck, Parallels, The Sex Appeal Of Marxism, And Our Video Of The Day

The world is definitely a better place with men like Glenn Beck having an opportunity to address the American people in such a public and widespread forum. I admit that he does come across as a sort of a goofy and odd chap from time to time, but the man has a gift for making his case clear and understandable by anyone with the intelligence to tune in on any given day. His academic prowess may be no greater or worse than the next conservative thinker; but lets face it, he is where he is because he has something that the average academic conservative does not. Like another American powerhouse of conservative commentary, Rush Limbaugh, Mr. Beck has the uncanny ability to deliver a shot directly to the magazine.

Admittedly there are points where we disagree; like his abhorence of violence towards achieving politcal objectives. Frankly Mr. Beck, there is a threshold which CAN be crossed, and the people must be prepared to ride out and meet that violation with brutal force when a nation is at stake. We are not above it and we are not free from such a terrible obligation when it comes down to the life or death of a nation. Other than that, I have to take my hat off to the man, for he is not only amusing as hell, but more than this, he is a voice for millions of people and a true educator of conservatism to the masses.
