Gordon Brown was accused of being “in hock” to union backers yesterday after a devastating Tory dossier revealed how Labour was being bankrolled by Unite.
Illuminating figures show the union, which is behind the British Airways dispute, is funding the party’s election bid in 148 seats across Britain.
Some £300,000 was spent on 90 seats where Labour MPs hope to cling on and another £156,000 on 58 seats where they are trying to snatch power.
The dossier also reveals that the Prime Minister and 12 other Cabinet ministers including his closest ally Ed Balls have been given £33,000 of funding.
Mr Brown has received £1,000 and Mr Balls, tipped to succeed him as Labour leader, £5,395. Others to receive money from the union are Bob Ainsworth, Hilary Benn, Yvette Cooper, Jim Knight, Alan Johnson, Shaun Woodward and Ed Miliband.
Since Gordon Brown took power in 2007, the union has handed over £11million in donations – almost 25 per cent of the party’s entire funding. It also prevented Labour going bankrupt in 2008 when it issued a written guarantee that it would keep pouring money into its coffers in the future.
According to the dossier, entitled Charlie Whelan’s New Militant Tendency, some 167 Labour MPs and prospective parliamentary candidates are members of Unite.
Unite’s political director, Mr Brown’s ex-spin doctor Charlie Whelan, is back “at the heart” of Downing Street and playing a central role in the election campaign, it says. The Tories also released a new campaign poster declaring: “Cash-Gordon. Unite are funding Brown’s election campaign? What will he give them in return?”
The answer to that question is simple; he will hand them the crushing demise of Great Britain at the hands of pure and unadulterated Marxism in exchange for the vote. Leftist politik has existed for the purpose of its own political longevity and place in power since it was spat upon this Earth by Marx all those years ago. The utter stupidity of human beings, their tendency towards selfish fits of apathy and immorality at the expense of everyone around them has always been exploited by the Marxist for achieving power. Welfare, the key to unlock the populace from the "shackles" of decency, morality, and hard work has been the primary weapon to draw people towards a movement which has never served anyone or anything but those at the top. It is truly astounding how we had such a vivid example in the Soviet Union in our lifetime, the horrors it exacted upon its own people, and yet we still gather like moths to the flame around this "ideology" thinking that somehow it will bring something to our lives. My friends, the time to break a sweat, and forge a life from our own two hands is right here and now. We are not endowed with the right to live off the backs of others. We were not born with the right to act in deplorable and disgusting ways simply because a man or woman who needs a vote says that such vile behavior is a "human right". The nation was not forged upon the lowest forms of human depravity.
Quite the contrary; the nation was formed on the heights of human strength, sacrifice, hard work, and yes, blood. We were not put upon this earth to regress into sloth-like devotion to having absolutely no honour, no courage, and no sense of independence or hard work. We all know the greatness that came before us; we can see it in the structures, the borders, the technology, and the way of life that has made this truly a great country. What sort of lunacy have we descended into to believe that anything less could maintain, let alone build for the future? Great Britain will only remain great when we embrace the morality, the dedication, and the selfless patriotic duty of our ancestors. The nation will only survive if we roll up our sleeves and make the very best of our lives and demand nothing less from our children. When we honour our military and demand that our politicians abandon the practice of throwing open the immigration flood gates for the purpose of voter cultivation, then, and only then will Great Britain achieve and sustain its rightful place as intended by almighty G-d.
The guilt, the robbing and plundering of compassion by the left has got to be eradicated and ultimately replaced with cold, stoic resolution towards a stronger nation. It is overdue for each and every one of us to call a spade a spade and take the fight to those who serve not Britain, but their own political interests. Multiculturalism, welfare, tolerance, PC, and the whole lot of Marxist bull {expletive deleted} must be smashed for there to be any hope for our future. We all know that these terms, these agendas, were created to serve a political purpose. Yet until; now, we have been afraid to question their validity due to the effective strategy of the left to peg us all as traditionalist fascists and the like. Name-calling, labeling, and accusations must not be an obstacle or any sort of effective bulwark against our duty to bring this nation and all western nations out of the darkness that the 1960s cancer has infected once great and proud nations with the across the European continent. It is simply ridiculous to have arrived at a point where we are afraid of being called a silly name when our very lives are on the line. The time for courage and fearless dedication to the fight has long since arrived. Gordon and his entire cancer have got to go.
